Homes of Hope

Homes of Hope is a project to make affordable housing for lower income families on the campus of the Center of Hope Church, a Black-led church in East Oakland on MacArthur Blvd. The project is rehabilitating vacant space in a former charter school building and a smaller commercial building. These two buildings will be transformed into 28 residential units adjacent to the church. The project was entitled in 2021 and is seeking to get approved building permits in 2022.
