We’re committed to our communities.

We believe creating the right housing supply in California is necessary to build a diverse workforce, end chronic homelessness, add to economic opportunity and vitality in our community, and stop economic displacement disproportionately affecting communities of color.

Our Approach

Start with a Ground-up Industry Redesign

Share equity and control with institutions already serving neighborhoods, increasing their long-term stability and resources and following their knowledge of community needs.

Don’t compete for the oversubscribed sources of government funding.

Attract sources of capital with fixed or capped returns, allowing project structures that maximize affordability, not profit.

Maximize income-restricted affordable housing and price-stable rental housing.

Operate the housing with best practices for reducing displacement, particularly from lower income neighborhoods.

Assemble a development system that increases efficiency and reduces cost across development, design, project management, and general contracting services.

Use high-quality modular construction where feasible.

Use new environmentally sustainable building practices and techniques to lower long-term costs and create healthy buildings.

It works!

We have over 350 units currently under development.

In 2021, we completed our first project of 12 units, with more under construction.

Four of our projects have successfully repaid over $800k back to the New Way Homes Fund to be re-used on starting the next projects.

New Way Homes has a 5+ year track record of making all payments to its investors.

We have many non-profit land owners ready to partner with us for over 300 more units, so we are raising the capital now to begin those projects.
